Centre for Game Design Research, RMIT University, Australia
The way we interact with software is evolving. Advances in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are merging with rapidly evolving software interfaces such as Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), creating a paradigm shift in the way we use and experience the digital realm. We’re now entering an era of ‘Mixed Reality’ (MR). The aim of this talk will be giving working definitions of MR, AI and how the two are set to collide and cross-pollinate. We will also review some of the likely applications maturing due to this convergence.
